Chicken cresent roll ups

Okay, because I promised and because my newly married daughter needs cooking help support here is a recipe. As I previously warned I don't use very many recipes and rarely do I write them down so when I do actually write one down it looks like I'm writing down a conversation that I'm having with myself.....shhhh I did NOT just admit that. Anyway, here ya go.

Chicken cresent roll ups:
chicken meat cooked
pepper
salt
onion
cresent rolls

I use whatever the cheapest chicken I can get is. Usually I get the frozen whole chickens at Aldi's and cook them two at a time in the crock pot then pull out the bones and yucky stuff for making soup out of later on and shred the meat for meals. I can usually get at least 6 meals for our family of 5 out of 2 chickens. SO anyway for this meal just pull out about 2 handfulls of chicken meat. Toss it into a bowl with some pepper, salt, onion (or onion powder) and add an 8 ounce package of cream cheese. Mish mash all of that stuff til it looks like you could spread it on crackers (I've actually done that when I was too hungry to wait..it's not bad).

Then take the cresent rolls that come in a can in the aisle at the store where you get those really nasty tasting canned biscuts and lay them out like your gonna roll them up only don't roll them yet. Smear about 2 tablespoons of the chicken and stuff on each one and then roll them up. You can make them like a little package or leave the ends open, just do it however it makes you happy....you're the ones gonna be eatin' 'em anyways......most times at our house we don't really care if it looks pretty, just that it tastes good and ain't toxic. Then you toss the little roll thingys on a cookie sheet in the oven at whatever the cresent roll can says to bake them at. You bake 'em til they are done...ya know, browned or whatever...the meat is already cooked so you're basically only cooking the dough.

While those are in the oven you take a can of cream of chicken soup ( or make your own with some of the broth from cooking that chicken meat) and cut it about half and half with sour cream. You use this like a dipping sauce or if you are in my house GRAVY.

See how easy those are? No burn cream required either. They can actually even be done daintily enough to serve at a fancy schmancy ladies get together type shindig!! See even a hillbilly like me can make some things kind of special (hahahahahaha).

So per my promise to my newly married daughter I have to post at least one recipe a week! Maybe I'll get better at it?! See y'all.

Hmmm, well I guess if someone can actually turn all of my strange mumbo jumbo into a plate of tasty grub then it wasn't....we'll have to wait and see if Jessi can fix some for her new hubby. ;-)
