Goodbye 2005....what a year it's been

It sure does seem like this year has flown by us. So much has happened and so many things have changed and I guess we have just been too busy to really pay any attention to how much time has passed us by. Just last night we realized that we left Missouri almost a year ago! It seems like we just got here but we have been here since the beginning of March. Jared said that times flies when you're busy sorting blessings....he's so funny, but there must be some truth to it because we have been really busy and it has all been for the good!

We are all so excited about everything that the Lord has done in our lives this past year that it just seems like the perfect way to launch into the next year by praising the Lord for the one that is passing. We will all be at church this new year's eve....we are really really excited too, we've never been to a watch night service before but it really sounds like a lot of fun! We have several missionary families in for the service too.

There has been lots of things going on back home too and we've just been bouncing around praising God for being so good to the folks back in Missouri too. Our old pastor has turned into a man on fire for the Lord in the best way I can think of and it doesn't even seem to phase him that he is nearly 81 years old. He has just sold his farm and moved into a camper trailer and has been traveling the state preaching hard out of the King James Bible.....ya'll just don't know how much of a blessing it has been to us to hear that piece of news. He is a wonderful brother but had let his preaching really really slide the last decade or two and Praise God now he knows what he needs to do and he sure isn't hesitating to do it either. I just love to hear good news from back home!! I talked to Miss Willie again yesterday morning and that was just one of the pieces of news she had for me. There are lots of good things going on and I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for the next year!

The only really sad things are that two families are moving away from our church now and I really am going to miss them terribly. I hope that they find good churches and that their lives in their new homes are sweet and blessed by the Lord. Not much else to write about ......just saying bye bye to 2005.
